Position Summary: To work as a substitute custodian to clean and maintain the district buildings/grounds and the multi-purpose room.

Schedule: As Needed, Monday - Friday, 3:30pm - 12:00am (8 hours)

Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor

Terms of Employment: $21.41 per hour Salary and benefits per schedule as negotiated with the Toutle Lake School District Public School Employees Union.

Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to use cleaning equipment. Ability to work with little to no supervision. Physical ability to perform tasks involved in position. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work. Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in a professional manner both orally and in writing. Acceptable clearance of criminal history fingerprint check through ESD and the F.B.I

Essential Functions: Communicate in a positive manner. Ability to treat all students with dignity. Strong regards for relationships with peers and children A good sense of humor. A "can do" attitude. Be a team player. Have a mind set to cope with repetitive work tasks. Punctuality and regular attendance necessary.

General Responsibilities: Clean and maintain the district buildings/grounds and multi-purpose room to include: Check and clean bathrooms a. Fill toilet paper dispensers b. Fill hand towel dispensers c. Fill sanitary napkin dispensers d. Wash walls and mirrors e. Clean urinals f. Sweep and mop g. Disinfect h. Clean desks Sweep & mop hard surface areas, vacuum halls, entryways and classrooms Wash windows and walls Empty trash, clean garbage cans, and pick up trash in surrounding areas Set up, wipe down and put away tables Run floor machine over main floor and stage area Hand mop stairs and edge of main floor Assist kitchen personnel

Night Custodian Responsibilities: Check & lock all doors and windows Check grounds and building perimeter for any irregularities Be aware of emergency procedures, phone numbers, etc. Alert the proper personnel of problems

Physical Requirements: Requires prolonged sitting or standing. Requires stooping, bending, and reaching. Requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials Requires climbing and balancing. Must work in noisy and crowded environments. Must work in and around fumes and odors. Must work indoors and outdoors year-round.

Terms of Employment: Salary and benefits as negotiated with the Toutle Lake School District Public School Employees Union (PSE) Schedule A.
