Job Goal

In collaboration with the K-8 Humanities Coordinator & the Summer Elementary Director provide leadership in curriculum development professional learning and instructional coaching to summer program staff.

Qualifications

Demonstrated commitment to equity in educational opportunities and conditions for learning

Ability to form positive relationships and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders

Experience with curriculum development and educator collaboration.

5 years teaching leadership experience

MA DESE Elementary License in appropriate grade level or as a reading specialist

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and support in the development implementation and revisions of the SomerSession ELA curriculum.

Provide leadership with the selection of instructional materials and resources for SomerSession.

Coach and support teachers in planning delivering and assessing quality ELA instruction

Assist teachers to integrate formative assessment into instructional practice

Develop and conduct professional learning opportunities for teachers connected to the SomerSession ELA curriculum and instruction.

Meet regularly with the SomerSession Director regarding curriculum and instruction.

Track student progress over the SomerSession program.

Hourly Rate 35 per hour worked

Monday thru Friday 5 days per week

800 am - 100 pm
