Position Summary

Assist the Site Supervisor at a large meal site as assigned.

This is a safety sensitive position subject to random drug/alcohol testing.

This is an unclassified, at-will position designated as part-time and seasonal. Seasonal employees are hired to work no more than nine (9) months within any twelve (12) consecutive-month period, in accordance with City policy.

Essential and Supplemental Functions

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Essential functions may include, but are not limited to the functions listed below)

  • Clean area before serving meals.
  • Serve meals to children.
  • Keep running count of meals served.
  • Monitor off-site meal consumption.
  • Assist participants as necessary.
  • Help with clean-up responsibilities.

SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.

Minimum Education, Experience And Additional Requirements

Must be at least 16 years old.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants will be required to pass a background check, Tuberculosis (TB) test and/or pre-employment drug test.

Working Conditions

Environmental:

Indoor and outdoor food service facilities; exposure to heat, noise, inclement weather conditions.

Physical:

Essential and supplemental functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time.
