Observes, supervises and assists with the evaluation of the performance of teachers andclassified personnel2. Assists and supports teachers in developing and maintaining student self-discipline andappropriate classroom management; assists and supports teachers and other staff members inmatters of student attendance and guidance3. Assists with professional development and the development of strategies and programsinvolving technology, innovations, content standards, and methodology for the improvement ofinstruction and student learning4. Coordinates with Educational Services, site principals and department chairs to ensureimplementation of Professional Learning Communities according to PLC definitions, District/siteestablished parameters, and non-negotiables5. Monitors and verifies PLC weekly meetings with set agendas and protocols as established byDistrict and site6. Coordinates with Educational Services, site principals and department chairs to ensure theimplementation of Extended Learning Opportunity time and that this time has an academic focus for every student7. Collaborates with Educational Services, site principals and teachers to develop, monitor andadjust interventions and advancement structures and strategies that meet the academic needs of the students8. Responsible for ensuring that all incoming freshmen are assessed to ascertain if there is anintervention needs9. Responsible for enforcing the "no opt-out" policy for interventions10. Coordinates and oversees the District Professional Development Committee.11. Coordinates efforts to improve student participation and performance in Advanced Placementprograms12. Collaborates with Accountability/Accreditation department to ensure focus on results-drivenplanning and decision-making through the development and implementation of commonformative assessments and district-wide data analysis protocols13. Collaborates with site administrative team, site department chairs, teachers, stakeholders todevelop and implement strategies and action steps aligned to the District's strategic plan toimprove student achievement. Strategies and action steps shall be data-based and results-driven14. Assists in the development of the master schedule of class offerings, staffing, and room assignments15. Stays abreast of modern trends in education through study, observation, school visitations, andattendance at educational workshops and/or conferences 16. Maintains close relationships with the parents and patrons of the District; emphasizes positivepublic relations; assists in the organization of and attends a variety of public functions17. Assists with the supervision of students in the classroom, cafeteria and restrooms, on campus,attendance and curse's office, and in surrounding areas; ensures positive student behavior at alltimes, and ensures staff, student and school safety18. Assists with student attendance and discipline; prepares documentation for and participates instudent attendance and student disciplinary hearings19. Assists in the coordination of site testing, mid-term, and end of course assessments20. Helps to coordinate and supervise school activities; assists in the organization and supervisionof activities such as the prom, Honors Assembly programs, and all events and activities associated with senior graduation21. Assists in the process of student registration and check out22. Assumes administrative leadership of curricular departments as assigned23. Maintains compliance regarding federal and Arizona Department of Education teacher certification and highly qualified status24. Prepares reports as requested25. Attends meetings, advises and approves various requests for assigned departments26. Assists with the preparation and revision of the student handbook and supervises its distributionto all members of the student body27. Assists with the supervision of substitute teachers on campus28. Attends Governing Board meetings as requested29. Completes necessary school, district, state and federal reports as assigned30. Maintains a welcoming atmosphere for staff, parents, students, and community31. Maintains confidentiality regarding student, staff, parent and school issues32. Performs responsibilities in an ethical and professional manner33. Minimum of an earned master's degree from an accredited institution, preferably with thecompletion of the equivalent of one year of graduate work beyond the master's degree; coursework must include administration, supervision, leadership and secondary school curriculum3. Must have and maintain a valid IVP Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card Experience1. Completion of an Administrative Internship through an accredited institution2. Demonstrated leadership and ability to work effectively with groups and individuals;demonstrated skills in organizing ideas and presenting them with clarity and conciseness;creative and imaginative approach to problem solving; ability to make sound decisions andwithstand pressures; decision-making, and evaluating3. Strong writing, literacy and communication skills4. Exceptional professional role model5. Leadership skills supporting the planning and implementation of short and long-range site andDistrict goals Communication Skills1. Ability to work with internal and external staff, community-based organizations and businesses, parents, and students2. Have skill in preparing and presenting reports3. Must possess a thorough knowledge in the use of office machines, and personal computers2. Must possess the ability to use or learn to use student information system software3.
