Assuring technical work is done according to defined processes and that work products conform to established standards. Also responsible for supporting legacy products, acting as technical resource for cross-functional departments such as Procurement, Operations, and Quality. There will be opportunity to provide engineering support to experimental engine testing and production parts manufacturing and engine assembly. Responsibilities may Include : + Perform a variety of engineering assignments related to new product development and/or enhancement of existing products + Creation and maintenance of engine bill of materials (BOM) + Review engineering changes / revisions to both engineering procedures and drawings + Create and execute engineering change orders (ECOs) using PLM software + Consult with customers on designs and specifications + Assist ODA group with FAA certification effort + Coordinate activities with Director, Configuration Management and Regulations to ensure business and development goals will be achieved + May be required to interface with suppliers Qualifications Education: + Actively pursuing BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering Beneficial Experience: + Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T drafting standards + BOM creation / maintenance using ERP systems (SAP, Oracle preferred) Competency Requirements : · Teamwork approach, presentation skills, ability to resolve conflicts · Strong organizational, interpersonal and communications skills with high attention to detail Why Build Your Career at Textron Textron offers a supportive workplace where employees are encouraged to grow, contribute, and innovate.
