Civil Engineering, Surveying and Wetlands Internship Program - Summer 2027

DiPrete Engineering is seeking motivated interns and co-op students to join our Cranston office for Summer 2027. This opportunity is ideal for students eager to apply their classroom knowledge to hands-on site development and civil design projects that make a meaningful impact in our communities.

What You'll Do:

• Assist in preparing civil engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for site development projects.
• Support site grading, drainage, and utility design under the guidance of experienced engineers.
• Help prepare permit applications and regulatory submissions.
• Conduct field investigations and collect site data to support project designs.
• Learn to use AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and other engineering tools.
• Gain exposure to permitting processes at the local, state, and federal levels.
• Collaborate with project engineers and managers in client communications.
• Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance your skills.

What We're Looking For:

• Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel; willingness to learn AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and other software.
• Strong communication skills, problem-solving mindset, and a collaborative attitude.
• Commitment to learning, professional integrity, and delivering quality work.
• Accountability and a desire to grow through feedback and experience.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly Rate: $20.00
• Position Type: Temporary, full-time summer internship/co-op

Location & Work Environment:

This is an in-person internship primarily based in our Cranston, RI office. You'll be working on meaningful projects that directly impact the communities we serve.
