About This Role A Day in the Life of a Production Planner Intern: + Reviews Engineering and Manufacturing information such as new and revised designs, specifications, and bills of materials; production, tool, and test equipment drawings; manufacturing plans; operation and routing sheets + Conducts reviews, incorporate Quality planning, and provide approval for purchase requisitions, purchase orders, design drawings, parts, process plans, and discrete jobs (shop orders) + Monitors, reviews, analyzes, and interprets data/metrics to identify trends, failure modes, chronic/systemic failures, and process variation to improve Quality + Performs Quality engineering work requiring a high degree of technical competence + Performs work which involves conventional engineering practice and may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements + Engages in daily communication and collaboration with Production to ensure Production leaders are aware of and taking appropriate measures to mitigate the future recurrence of their defects. + Interfaces with all other engineering/integrated supply chain functions within the organization and on quality-related issues + Performs other job-related duties as assigned by management Qualifications + What You'll Need: - Currently pursuing or have completed a bachelor's degree in Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field - Ability to plan, organize and manage multiple priorities efficiently - Ability to interact effectively with management, peers, and other employees relative to quality and technical issues - Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast pace, deadline driven environment - Effective verbal and written communications skills - Basic Microsoft Office application skills with emphasis in MS Excel (Power BI is a plus) - This position requires an individual to be a U.S citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
