The Chicago office is seeking an Analyst to join its incoming full-time analyst class in 2027. The analyst would be joining the Industrials team, based jointly in New York and Chicago, and would primarily focus on M&A transactions. The Analyst position at Mizuho | Greenhill offers exposure to all aspects of global restructuring and financing advisory businesses. Due to the size of the Firm, Analysts at Mizuho | Greenhill receive unparalleled exposure to its senior professionals.



ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Build financial models with valuation support, including discounted cash flow, comparable companies, precedent transactions, leveraged buyout and merger combination analyses

· Develop and prepare client presentations and materials with a focus on quality, accuracy and timeliness

· Conduct extensive quantitative economic, industry and company research and analysis

· Draft and prepare pitch books with detailed industry materials for multiple Industrials sub-sectors

· Develop M&A execution expertise across buy-side, sell-side and other strategic advisory mandates

· Interact with senior bankers, product partners and clients on M&A processes

· Participate in the evaluation, preparation, due diligence and execution of M&A transactions

· Coordinate with relevant groups across Mizuho | Greenhill

· Cultivate positive attitude with the team

· Assist in the development and continued cultivation of client relationships



QUALIFICATIONS & SKILL REQUIREMENTS

· Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Finance or Economics with an expected graduation date of May or June 2027

· Knowledge of corporate finance, securities, financial markets and risk & pricing analysis

· Experience (e.g., prior internships) in M&A Investment Banking a strong plus

· Aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information and develop innovative ideas and/or product solutions

· Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

· Maturity and good judgement in handling confidential and sensitive information

· Ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines

· Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to convey ideas

· Creativity and intellectual curiosity

· Ability to work independently and must be able to work effectively in a team environment


Salary: $110,000
