We're seeking motivated and high-performing students to join our Emergency Management team for Summer 2027 in Tulsa, OK. This internship offers dynamic work, giving interns exposure to real-world safety functions, processes, and projects.

Interns will work on impactful projects, collaborate with professionals across departments, and participate in networking events with peers and company leadership.

What You Will Need

Ideal candidates are:

• Pursuing a degree in Environmental Safety & Health, Emergency Management, Compliance, Business administration or related field preferably graduating in December 2027 or May 2028.

• Maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

• Involved in extracurricular activities, community service, or leadership roles.

• Experienced through prior internships, part-time jobs, or volunteer work.

Additional Details

Compensation: All ONE Gas internship positions are paid. We offer a fair and competitive pay rate.

Projected Internship Dates: Tuesday, June 1st, 2027 - Friday, August 6th, 2027

Hours Per Week: 40 hours per week

What You Will Do:

• Build and maintain relationships with first responders, emergency management agencies, law enforcement, fire departments and state/local emergency operations centers.

• Plan, facilitate and evaluate drills and exercises (local, statewide, enterprise-wide) and develop post-exercise reports to track corrective actions to completion.

• Coordinate joint training, exercises and response planning with external partners.

• Develop and lead company Incident Command System (ICS) and Emergency Operations Center (EOC) training.

• Support public awareness and damage prevention programs related to emergency preparedness.

• Develop, maintain and continuously improve the company's emergency response plans.

• Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments (THIRA-style or equivalent) specific to gas distribution and transmission operations.

• Serve in a support role during emergencies, assist with situational awareness, incident documentation and post-incident analysis. Serve as company liaison during multi-agency incidents.

• Participate in regional and national mutual aid and utility emergency response networks.

• Support OGS Emergency Operations Center (EOC) activation, staffing and documentation during major events.

• Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.

• Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
