2027 Summer Intern - Healthcare Leveraged Finance

This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office.

The Healthcare Finance team provides comprehensive banking solutions to middle market private equity clients for various financing needs, including leveraged buyouts, acquisitions, refinancings and dividend recapitalizations. Summer Analysts will support the Underwriting and Portfolio teams in analyzing and underwriting new and existing cash flow transactions, gaining exposure to all elements of deal execution, including:

• Initial due diligence and development of Investment Thesis
• Thorough and thoughtful risk mitigation
• Detailed financial analysis on historical trends and financeable EBITDA
• Financial modeling, including cash flow projections, DCF analysis, transaction and trading comparables and deleveraging analysis
• Legal negotiations and documentation
• Post-closing monitoring of credit performance

Internship dates: 5/24/27 - 7/30/27   

In this role, you will:

• Be part of a dynamic team with interesting projects. 
• Attend professional development sessions, informational sessions, networking, and community service events.
• Have a dedicated manager and program manager to help you navigate the bank and the internship program.
• Work as part of a Deal Team on live transactions, engaged in many aspects of credit underwriting and portfolio management, including company and industry due diligence, financial analysis, credit memo preparation and portfolio management activities.
• Participate in internal credit approval meetings and client/customer calls, as appropriate.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED and 1 years' experience
• Currently enrolled at an accredited collegiate institution (during time of summer program)
• Ability to work 40 hours per week during the duration of the program

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3.0 minimum GPA
• Rising Senior (May 2028 Grad)
• Strong desire to learn and grow.
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a major/concentration in finance, accounting, or economics
• Possess a positive attitude, naturally curious and enjoys collaborating with others.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Critical thinking skills
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to adapt and adjust priorities based on business needs.
• Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly. 

If hired in NY, the base pay for this position is generally between $22.44 and $26.40. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
