2027 Summer Intern: Software Engineer

• You're a motivated student with a current 3.0 GPA or higher currently pursuing a degree in one of the following areas from an accredited college or university:

• Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Information Science, Information Technology

• This is a paid, full-time, 11-week internship designed to give you real-world experience and meaningful exposure to the telecommunications industry in your chosen field.

• Internship program runs from May 26 through August 6, 2027.

• In addition to role-specific projects, you'll take part in professional development sessions, networking opportunities, mentorship and experiences that help you grow personally and professionally.

What you can expect in this role

As a Spectrum intern, you'll spend the summer working alongside two teams: your respective department and your intern cohort.

Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You'll spend the other 20% on internship experiences that include a kickoff conference, professional development sessions and networking activities, webinars, community service, cross-functional projects and final presentations.

This experience is designed to help you explore your interests, expand your network and leave with a deeper understanding of both your field and the impact of our business.

Internship responsibilities may include:

• Support Salesforce and CSML development tasks for ongoing delivery projects
• Assist with analysis and integrations between Salesforce, RingCentral-related systems and downstream provisioning systems
• Participate in testing, defect validation and troubleshooting for product launch and provisioning changes
• Create and organize technical documentation, process flows and knowledge transfer materials
• Support automation, configuration and development activities for new product creation and product change workflows
• Help document business processes, integration touchpoints and system dependencies
• Contribute to backlog refinement, sprint deliverables and other engineering activities under supervision

Required Qualifications

• Must be a rising senior with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028
• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a bachelor's degree
• Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
• Ability to travel locally to Spectrum intern development events and activities throughout the program
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Java, C++, JavaScript, SQL and relational database concepts
• Understanding of CI/CD fundamentals and version control practices
• Basic knowledge of APIs and system integrations
• Interest in Salesforce development and enterprise application architecture
• Ability to troubleshoot, test and analyze issues across integrated systems
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Familiarity with Salesforce platform concepts, backend service development, provisioning workflows and downstream system integration patterns
