HarperCollins Children's Books is seeking a creative, organized, and dynamic Marketing Intern to provide support for the children's marketing teams working across books for ages 0-18. The role requires a detail-oriented and creative individual, able to multi-task and set priorities. We're a dedicated and enthusiastic team looking for a fellow savvy digital marketer to join us!
Responsibilities
Develop a working understanding of the teams and tasks involved in the publication of HarperCollins Children's books
Learn important publishing software programs and use them to assist in administrative tasks and other departmental functions
Write marketing copy for social media posts, blog posts, and other digital content for the HarperKids and/or Epic Reads brands
Participate in photoshoots and content brainstorms with marketing and social media teams
Assist with creation of designed graphics, videos, and other digital assets for marketing campaigns and social media promotion
Coordinate marketing mailings for buzz building campaigns to influencers
Qualifications
Candidates must be available to work in our NYC office from Monday - Thursday for a total of 28 hours per week, from June 7 - August 12, 2027. Compensation for this internship is $18 per hour.
Candidates who are available to work in a full-time capacity in 2027 or 2028 are eligible for this internship; open to rising seniors, recent graduates, master's students, or entry level candidates with up to 1 year of work experience.

Ideal candidates are either currently enrolled in or have recently graduated from an undergraduate or master's program.
A passion for books is highly valued! All book lovers are welcome, but a strong familiarity with the children's book market is a plus.
Proactive, creative, and attentive to detail
Excellent writing skills, including ability to write in a voice appealing to consumers and consistent with HarperKids and/or Epic Reads brand
Experience in content creation and knowledge of social media trends, particularly on Instagram and TikTok
Excellent project management, communication, and organizational skills a must
Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of platforms including Canva, WordPress, and Photoshop a plus!
