HarperCollins's William Morrow Group is one of the industry's premier fiction and nonfiction publishers, home to bestselling and award-winning authors across a variety of genres. We are seeking a savvy, book-loving intern to assist with our publicity and marketing efforts. This internship is ideal for a recent grad or current college student looking to learn about the industry and gain experience.
Responsibilities
Provide ongoing administrative support including mailing books, entering data, routing invoices, etc.
Assist with the creation of promotional materials like press releases, sell sheets, and giveaway forms
Assist with the creation of content and captions for social media
Contribute to research projects
Assist with outreach to media and social media creators
The intern is invited to participate in various staff meetings and give opinions and ideas regarding promotional strategies for our books
The intern is invited to attend and listen into various meetings with authors and agents
The intern is invited to request specific projects of interest throughout the internship
Qualifications
Candidates must be available to work in our NYC office from Monday - Thursday for a total of 28 hours per week, from June 7 - August 12, 2027. Compensation for this internship is $18 per hour.
Candidates who are available to work in a full-time capacity in 2027 or 2028 are eligible for this internship; open to rising seniors, recent graduates, master's students, or entry level candidates with up to 1 year of work experience.

Ideal candidates are either currently enrolled in or have recently graduated from an undergraduate or master's program.
A passion for books is highly valued!
A can-do attitude, love of books, and interest in marketing and publicity
Must have good time management skills, be organized and detail-oriented, and capable of prioritizing effectively
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Familiarity with various social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
