About the Role
The Undergraduate Summer Internship Development Program (USID) at Loomis, Sayles & Company is a paid summer internship program for first-generation undergraduate students. The USID Program offers direct experience in a professional setting by completing meaningful project-based work and industry-specific professional development. The 10-week program combines work experience, technical skill- building, and professional development. The program emphasizes mastery of the NACE competencies: verbal and written communication, creative thinking, work ethic, collaboration, networking, decision-making, and problem-solving.
The internship is offered to those who are first in their family to attend college. Our goal is to provide a significant learning experience for deeply curious, hard-working students who have not historically had exposure or access to the investment management industry. Since this is a dynamic program, placement on a preferred team cannot be guaranteed; instead, we evaluate each participant's current skill set and business needs when determining placement.
First-round interviews will be conducted on October 30 and November 2, with second-round interviews scheduled for November 6 and November 9. Candidates are expected to be available during these dates.
