We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site in the specified location(s).The Workplace Services - Retirement Plan Services (RPS) Internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting retirement solutions that help corporate clients promote employees' financial well-being. Retirement Plan Services works with plan sponsors, partners, and internal stakeholders to deliver retirement plan administration, recordkeeping, and client-focused solutions at scale. Throughout this 9-week internship, you will contribute to meaningful business projects while gaining exposure to how retirement solutions are designed, supported, and continuously improved.As an RPS Intern, you will partner with Schwab professionals to support client-focused initiatives through analysis, project tracking, process improvement efforts, presentations, and business recommendations. You may develop analysis summaries, client-ready presentations, project trackers, and documented recommendations that help improve internal processes and client outcomes. Through project-based learning, coaching, networking opportunities, and collaboration across teams, you will strengthen your analytical thinking, business communication, adaptability, and ability to translate business needs into structured deliverables.Internship Dates: June 7, 2027 - August 6, 2027. Locations: Austin & Westlake, TX, Omaha, NE, Richfield, OH.

What you have

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze information, identify patterns, and develop recommendations through coursework, projects, internships, employment, or leadership experiences.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create clear summaries, presentations, and stakeholder updates.
• Ability to organize work, manage multiple priorities, and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with peers, teammates, and stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage deadlines, take ownership of assignments, and follow work through to completion.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications

• Interest in financial services, retirement solutions, workplace benefits, or client outcomes.
• Experience completing analytical, research-based, operational, or project-focused coursework or internships.
• Demonstrated ability to support process improvements, project management activities, or business recommendations.
• Experience creating presentations, analyses, dashboards, trackers, or other business deliverables.
• Interest in learning how retirement plan services support employers, employees, and long-term financial well-being.
