What You’ll Do
  • Provide high-acuity patient care including post-cardiac thoracic surgery recovery, managing patients with devices like Impella, Balloon Pump, Artic Sun, and CRRT
  • Administer medications and treatments per protocol, monitor effects, and document thoroughly
  • Assess patient status and respond to clinical changes independently
  • Educate patients and family members about ongoing care needs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Follow all hospital policies and best practices related to critical care nursing
What You Need

  • Required:
    • Current RN license in TX or a compact state
    • BLS and ACLS certification (AHA only)
    • Minimum 1 year critical care experience (preferred but not mandatory for new grads)
    • Experience with post-cardiac thoracic surgery patients and high-acuity care highly desired

  • Preferred:
    • Experience with Epic electronic medical record system
    • Knowledge of specific ICU devices including Impella, CRRT, and intra-aortic balloon pumps
    • Ability to work independently with strong clinical judgment
