Job Position: 215 Welder-2nd Shift

Location: Clearwater, FL 33755

Pay Rate: $24.00/hr-32.00

Shift: 2nd

Description: Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Perform TIG welding operations on thin gauge aluminum based on blueprints and layouts, ensuring high precision and quality.
- Set up and maintain welding equipment, including connecting gas cylinders, checking gas flow, selecting tungsten electrodes and filler rods, and calibrating machinery.
- Fit and position parts for fabrication, tack weld, and produce smooth, consistent weld beads while avoiding material warping or overheating.
- Inspect completed welds for defects such as contamination or penetration issues, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhere to safety protocols, and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Prepare materials as needed, including chemical washing to remove oils, deburring, and polishing sharp edges for welding and subsequent powder coating processes.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience as a TIG Welder, preferably with 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and drawings.
- Exceptional attention to detail, precision, and hand-eye coordination.
- Familiarity with welding aluminum, stainless steel, and special alloys.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational welding training is required.
- Physical capability to lift, hold, and carry heavy metal parts.
- Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods and inspect welds for defects with good eyesight.
