Job Title: 22105 - Travel: RN - Telemetry I/Acute MedSurg

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Telemetry/Acute MedSurg team. The ideal candidate will practice independently within their scope of practice, providing routine and complex care, while demonstrating a thorough understanding of patient assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The nurse will address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families, ensuring personalized and comprehensive care. This position requires administering medications and treatments using proper protocols, documenting care accurately, and providing patient and family education. The RN will make appropriate assignments and collaborate effectively with care teams to manage clinical situations.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver nursing care utilizing the nursing process in accordance with standards and organizational policies.
  • Assess and respond to the complex needs of patients with sensitivity and professionalism.
  • Administer medications and treatments, monitor for side effects, and evaluate treatment effectiveness.
  • Document patient history, symptoms, medication administration, and care provided thoroughly.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on health conditions, treatment plans, and health maintenance.
  • Make appropriate care assignments and delegate tasks to care providers as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with all organizational competencies, including New Nurse Orientation, competency validations, and annual re-assessments.

Job Requirements:

Education/Skills:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred)
  • Current BLS certification (AHA)
  • Current ACLS certification (AHA)
  • RN License in the State of Texas or a valid compact license

Experience:
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in a related nursing specialty preferred

Work Schedule:
  • Nights: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
  • Full-Time

Hourly Pay Rate: $46.90
