What You’ll Do

• Provide routine and complex nursing care to laboring patients in a busy hospital setting
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Administer medications and treatments following protocol, monitoring for effectiveness and side effects
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care activities accurately
• Educate patients and families on childbirth, postpartum care, and newborn care
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Support long-range planning and contingency management in a dynamic clinical environment

What You Need
Required:

• Current RN license in Texas or a valid compact license
• Certification in BLS (AHA), NRP, ACLS, and NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring or AWHONN Intermediate FHM
• At least 1 year of recent experience in labor and delivery or perinatal nursing
• Ability to work scheduled 12-hour days and weekends as required

Preferred:

• Perinatal RN residency program or recent experience in perinatal settings
• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (BSN)
