A growing pharmaceutical company is seeking an experienced Formulations Chemist to add to their lab. This position will offer a challenging and stimulating work environment, valuable industry laboratory experience, as well as the opportunity to develop internally within a thriving company.
Chemists will be responsible for:
- Preparation and characterization of oligonucleotides, nucleic acid monomers, and SNAs in support of preclinical drug discovery and development
- Oligonucleotide synthesis, purification, and quantification
- Buffer preparation
- Semiprep and prep-scale HPLC
- Document all assays and results in a standardized, accurate, traceable, and timely manner
- Perform managerial type duties including the training of more junior employees
- Adhering to cGMP/cGLP documentation procedures according to FDA specifications
Qualifications:
- BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field
- 1-4 years of pharmaceutical industry experience
- Manufacturing experience and comfortability being in a production role
- Work with nucleic acids
- Experience with oligonucleotide synthesis and automated liquid handling is a huge plus
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work both independently and in constructive groups
