26-0086-002 — Fellowship Payments and Finance Specialist — ERDC (Contingent)

Contingent opportunity: Axyde Analytics is building a proposed team for the anticipated U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) Fellowship Program Administration and Research Support requirement. This is advance recruiting, not an awarded or funded position. Hiring, start date, hours and final duties depend on contract award, funding and task-order requirements.

Work arrangement: Remote administrative work is proposed, with travel and onsite support at ERDC facilities as required. Midlothian, Virginia is Axyde's administrative base; final duty location and remote eligibility will be determined by the requirement. This is not a guarantee of fully remote work.

Fellowship Payments and Finance Specialist

Support accurate, timely fellowship payments and task-order financial administration in coordination with the Program Director and Fellowship Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

• Maintain approved stipend/payment schedules, appointment dates, funding allocations and change controls.
• Reconcile participant payments, travel reimbursements and supporting records; investigate exceptions and prevent duplicate or unsupported payments.
• Prepare invoice support, task-order expenditure reports, forecasts and documentation for management review.
• Establish approval trails, segregation of duties and secure handling of payment information.
• Coordinate with accounting, payroll or payment providers and qualified advisers on the applicable participant classification and reporting requirements.

What we seek

• Hands-on finance, accounting or payment operations experience in a fellowship, university, research, grant-funded or government program.
• Experience with recurring participant payments, reconciliations, documented approvals and audit-ready financial records.
• Strong spreadsheet and accounting-system skills and careful handling of confidential information.
• Ability to distinguish fellowship stipend administration from ordinary employee payroll and escalate classification questions appropriately.

Preferred: Multi-award or task-order accounting, fellowship stipends, travel reimbursements and federal contractor invoice support. Final government qualifications have not been issued.
