Contingent opportunity: Axyde Analytics is building a proposed team for ERDC Fellowship Program Administration and Research Support. This is advance recruiting, not an awarded or funded position. Hiring, hours, start date and final duties depend on contract award, funding, task orders and mutually agreed terms. Fractional support may be appropriate; no hours are guaranteed.

Work arrangement: Remote administrative work is proposed, with travel and onsite support as required. Midlothian, Virginia is Axyde's administrative base, not an established ERDC duty station. Fully remote work is not guaranteed.

Fellowship Program Director

Lead a proposed multi-laboratory research fellowship administration program, integrating operations, payments, recruiting, travel and university relationships. This recruitment develops leadership and backup coverage for the proposed team.

Responsibilities

• Own mobilization, staffing, workload and capacity planning, task-order budgets, risk registers and program quality.
• Manage university and federal laboratory relationships, kickoff and progress meetings, quarterly reports and corrective actions.
• Oversee appointment lifecycle, eligibility controls, travel and payment approvals, access tracking and agreement routing through authorized reviewers.
• Maintain separation of payment preparation and approval, task-order accountability and escalation of funding constraints.
• Build recruiting access across water/environment, structures/geomaterials, cold-regions science, geospatial/decision science, infrastructure and digital engineering.

What we seek

• Demonstrated leadership of fellowship, research participation, university research administration or closely comparable funded programs.
• Direct responsibility for teams, budgets, participant services and institutional partnerships; ability to document scale and outcomes.
• Strong federal customer reporting, program controls and interdisciplinary coordination.

Preferred: recent end-to-end fellowship administration, multiple concurrent awards/task orders and federal laboratory experience. Technology-transfer experience is useful but does not replace fellowship operations experience.
