REPORTS TO: Director of Campus Operations
POSITION TYPE: 11-month
START DATE: 26-27 School Year
COMPENSATION:$13.77-$17.12 per hour

We serve the students of Houston, Texas, the 4th largest city across the United States. There are over 20 public-school districts and other great public charter school options within Houston’s city limits serving our increasing population.
THE ROLE
When you join the YES Prep team, some of the work and responsibilities will include:
Maintain Front Desk Staffing and Streamlined Visitor Processing
- Greeting and assisting all incoming parents, students, and visitors 100% of the time during campus hours;
- Processing all visitors through Raptor and following all safety protocols for sign in;
- Maintaining and administering the telephone system by answering and processing all incoming calls in an efficient and rapid manner;
- Maintaining an appealing physical environment including reception area, storage rooms, conference rooms, and other rooms as requested;
Deliver A-Level Front Office Service
- Providing support for teachers, staff, students and parents upon request
- Receiving, inventorying and distributing internal and external communication and deliveries;
- Helping support and facilitate main office procedures such as supply requests, copy requests, laminating requests, uniform ordering, fee payments, and any other operational systems;
- Responding to all customer service requests and voicemails within 24 hours;
- Managing daily administrative operations including establishing work priorities, and resolving problems related to day-to-day operations of the office;
- Creating a welcoming front lobby space with updated signage that is clean and clutter free;
- Provide exemplary customer services with a solutions-oriented mindset that de-escalates situations and prioritizes student needs;
- Additional duties as assigned.
Campus meets or is above ADA goal
- Assisting in student attendance tracking;
- Implementing standards, policies, and procedures for filing, records maintenance, and other clerical services;
- Leading the tardy process for students with accurate tracking and data entry

MUST HAVES
- At least 2 years of an exemplary record working urgently in a fast-paced and results-oriented office environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Excellence organizational skills including time management and follow-up
- Strong command or word processing including exemplary spelling and grammar skills
- Demonstrated ability to work on a team
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
- Ability to exercise excellent judgment in decision-making

- Ability to maintain emotional control under stress

THE PERKS
- Compensation – This position is an non- exempt, hourly position; salary offers commensurate with experience.
- Health and Supplemental Insurance – A $0 monthly medical option that includes $600 towards a Health Savings Account, in addition to a variety of supplemental benefits including Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, etc. Employees must work 20+ hours a week to be eligible for a full spectrum of benefits, and 10 hours a week minimum for medical benefits.
