26-27 COM Lab Instructor, Family Medicine

Job Summary

The primary duty of a Lab Instructor is assisting the WCUCOM faculty in lab-related courses at the graduate, medical school level.

Duties and Responsibilities

• As it relates to CPCI and II

• Participate in Exam Skills lab, teach/discuss/answer student questions

• Faculty proctor for grading "Mega Test" and "Mini Mega Test"

• As it relates to CPCIII and IV

• Teach procedures, help with POCUS and run simulation

• Provide facilitation for small groups

• Facilitate faculty evaluations for SPT performance feedback

• Lecture as needed as it relates to specialty

• Provide grading resources for OSCEs

Physical Demands

• Must possess the physical ability to actively facilitate student learning in the lab setting for extended period of times
• Must have vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone
• Must have the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time

Required Qualifications

• A graduate of a college or school of medicine accredited by the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA) or the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME)
• Experience in family medicine, general practice, or equivalent training
