The Chappaqua Central School District is a community of six schools serving approximately 3500 students in Westchester County. Chappaqua CSD is looking for a thoughtful and knowledgeable educator to serve in the anticipated probationary position of Math Teacher at Horace Greeley High School, effective September 2, 2026.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

• Expertise in math content ranging from algebra through calculus. • Exudes a joy of learning and can effectively work with students of all skill and ability levels. • Proficiency in designing learning activities that showcase the application of mathematics to everyday existence and problem-solving, utilizing an inquiry-based approach. • Possesses strong communication skills, both written and verbal. • Fosters a welcoming classroom environment that nurtures emotional well-being and a sense of belonging. • Uses NYS standards educational research to inform instructional practices. • Uses formative assessments to gauge student understanding. • Has experience with evidence-based social-emotional learning strategies to promote emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills. • Knowledge of the RULER approach is preferred. • Uses knowledge of students and student performance when planning lessons. • Infuses culturally relevant practices to ensure that lessons reflect the diverse backgrounds and experiences of all students. • Integrates diverse perspectives and voices into instructional materials and resources to broaden students understanding of the world. • Maintains high expectations for all students. • Engages in regular, collaborative professional development with the understanding that team efficacy is greater than individual efforts alone.

Certification/Experience:

• New York State Certification as a Mathematics Teacher Gr. 7 - 12 • Successful teaching experience in the area of mathematics at the high school is preferred.

Salary Range:

26/27 Salary Range: $73,019 - $155,921
