NMHC AmeriCorps Volunteers will provide direct mental health support and prevention services through community outreach, education, and crisis response activities. Volunteers will deliver evidence-informed trainings and programs, support stigma-reduction projects, and assist with outreach events to increase awareness of mental health resources. Depending on host site needs, some members may provide crisis support, referral coordination, follow-up engagement, and care navigation. Members will also support host organizations through program development, partnership building, data collection, outreach efforts, and sustainability activities designed to strengthen local mental health systems and expand access to services in high-need communities.
