Protential Foundation is a youth development nonprofit dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty through sports-based youth development, education, mentorship, and community partnerships. In Putnam County, we focus on expanding access to opportunity for underserved youth in Palatka, Crescent City, and surrounding communities by building intentional pathways that connect sport, school, and future success. In partnership with Coach Across America and AmeriCorps VISTA, this role strengthens local systems that expand youth engagement, education access, recreation programming, and sustainable funding. The Putnam County Community Impact Coordinator VISTA will serve as a key capacity builder across three areas: 1. developing partnerships with colleges, universities, community organizations, and school athletic programs including St. Johns River State College and high school soccer programs in Palatka and Crescent City; 2. strengthening collaboration with the Putnam County Parks and Recreation Department to expand youth programming and community engagement; and 3. building sustainable fundraising systems and donor engagement strategies aligned with regional initiatives such as the Cocktails & Cleats Gala. Member Duties : The VISTA will be part of the 26-27 Coach Across America national VISTA cohort of 64 members. The VISTA member will build organizational capacity in Putnam County by developing strategic partnerships with colleges, community organizations, and high school soccer programs. Responsibilities include coordinating mentorship opportunities and community engagement initiatives, as well as strengthening collaboration with the Putnam County Parks and Recreation Department to expand access to recreation-based programming. The VISTA will support fundraising and sustainability efforts by identifying donors, supporting with sponsorship outreach, and coordinating 3 special fundraising events. Additional duties include developing systems for volunteer coordination, donor tracking, and program data collection. The member will play a key role in expanding youth opportunity, strengthening community partnerships, and increasing organizational sustainability.
