COMPENSATION: $25,000 + additional incentives

THE ROLE
As aTeacher Candidate, some of the work and responsibilities will include:
- Attending Orientation to the TechTeach Across Texas program and Introduction to Teaching courses during the Texas Tech University Summer I term;
- Attending study days as scheduled to prepare for teacher certification exams;
- Attending and participating in field placement, student teaching, and in Texas Tech University online and face-to-face meetings;
- Maintaining professional relationships with mentor teachers, campus administrators, staff, and students, including verbal interactions, conduct in the classroom, and follow-through on responsibilities at the field site and in Texas Tech University online and face-to-face meetings with instructors and peers;
- Meeting all professionalism expectations established by Tech Teach Across Texas;
- Co-teaching during student teaching field placement in a manner consistent with the Teacher Candidate’s progression through the teacher education program;
- Completing requirements for Apply & Evaluate (A&E) assignments and Performance Assessment Cycles including the use of a video-capture device and SWIVL technology;
- Meeting test prep and certification exam benchmarks and deadlines for CORE, Science of Teaching Reading (EC-6 candidates), edTPA, and supplemental exams;
- Purchasing and utilizing online resources designated by the program;
- Studying and completing Site Coordinator designated modules, activities, performance checks, and progress monitoring assignments;
- Implementing professional behavior related to appropriate use of technology including but not limited to cell phone and computer;
- Dressing professionally in accordance with TechTeach Across Texas guidelines;
- Adhering to the district calendar pertaining to Professional Development dates, holidays, and early dismissals;
- Maintaining prompt, consistent, and reliable attendance in the field placement, beginning prior to the start of the school day, and ending after the dismissal of students at the end of the school day;
- Participating in all in-service trainings at the beginning of the academic year and throughout the school year;
- Participating in faculty, staff, grade level, parent teacher conferences, other meetings (ARD,LPAC, RTI) as required, and school-wide events (Reading/Writing and Math/Science nights);
- Implementing feedback provided to grow in instructional competency;
- Participating in weekly co-planning meetings with thementor teacher and/or campus leadership;
- Providing student support in the classroom to impact student achievement;
- Completing all Tech Teach Across Texas program documentation as required;
- Additional duties as assigned.

- Completed an Associate of Arts in Teaching degree, or a completed Associate of Arts/Science degree plus the Associate of Arts in Teaching required coursework
- Minimum 2.75 GPA
- 66 Transferable hours
- Meet the foreign language requirement

THE PERKS
- Compensation – This position is a non-exempt position; Cohort participants will be compensated $25,000 plus additional incentives to supplement tuition and meet certification expectations.
- Health and Supplemental Insurance – A $0 monthly medical option that includes $600 towards a Health Savings Account, in addition to a variety of supplemental benefits including Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, etc. Employees must work 20+ hours a week to be eligible for a full spectrum of benefits, and 10 hours a week minimum for medical benefits.
