The AmeriCorps VISTA member will develop systems to increase volunteer engagement, retention, and recognition at Literacy Connects, a program focusing on increasing literacy for all ages in Tucson, Arizona. The VISTA objectives include: 1) Build capacity to increase active volunteers by 15% for the Reading Seed program through development of a Volunteer Recruitment Plan, Volunteer Onboarding Plan, and other tools to support data collection. 2) Increase engagement for volunteers with Literacy Connects by collecting data and analyzing gaps in retention and recruitment. They will also identify partners to build robust recruitment pipelines. 3) Through program development and strengthening, increase volunteer invovlvement in the Volunteer Leadership Council.
