Centered on project-based learning, Farmington STEAM Academy utilizes an inquiry-driven philosophy, giving students opportunities to creatively solve real-world problems. STEAM is not a program; it is a philosophy of teaching and learning. Focused on creativity, collaboration, communication, and opportunities for real-world application, we are inspiring future leaders, innovators, and change-makers. QUALIFICATIONS Valid Elementary Michigan Teaching Certificate with ZG (elementary K-5 all subjects; K-8 all subjects self-contained classrooms) or ZO (Lower Elementary Education PK-3). Experience teaching lower elementary, preferred. Interest and experience with student-centered learning and project-based learning. Flexible and innovative mindset. Competency in student management and supervision. Ability to collaborate across all grade levels Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with students, staff members, parents and the community Such alternatives to the above qualification as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.
