Our client is looking for a Director of Strategic Account Development to cover the East Coast. This person will be responsible for the sale of custom drug development and drug discovery services into pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies across the assigned territory. This is a true hunter role, where using your strong network to gain new business will be key. This role will initially be an individual contributor position, with opportunities for increased responsibility and leadership as the business grows.
Requirements:- B.S. in the sciences, business, or related field (Advanced degree preferred)
- 3+ years of life science and/or diagnostic services sales experience
- Bioanalytical testing, GCLP, GLP, large molecule, drug development, assay development, etc.
- Proven track record of sales success
- Strong prospector with a hunter mentality
- Driven, passionate, strategic, and resilient
- Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written
- Ability for overnight travel across the East Coast
- Based near Boston ideal, but near a major metropolitan area on the East Coast will be considered
