Production LeadShift: 6:00 AM – 4:20 PM (Monday – Thursday)
Pay: $18 - $20 (Dependent on experience)
The Production Lead will be responsible for directing and supervising production line personnel.
Job Duties- Report to the line 15 minutes prior to the start of production.
- Hold scheduling meeting and safety rule review with all line personnel at the beginning of each shift.
- Responsible for line production conforming to the requirements of the Bill of Material (BOM)/Picklist.
- Train personnel in the job tasks for their line position.
- Assign personnel to their line position
- Prepare production reports including scrap, rework and incomplete runs.
- Monitor downtime reports, weight check sheets and scrap reports.
- Manage work orders, downtime identification, and production data entry via Factbird Manufacturing Intelligence Software.
- Capable and willing to fill in on the line as necessary
- Ensure cans are properly labeled and cartons are properly glued and coded.
- Communicate with the line suppler to ensure an adequate supply of components for the job running.
- Complete pre-staging activities and checklist to ensure changeover efficiency.
- Inspect the entire line to be certain all components are removed before the next run begins.
- Communicate with the line supplier to have components ready the next job to be run on the line.
- Ensure the line remains as clean as possible during the run and supervises clean-up at the end of the shift before workers are dismissed.
- Monitor line employees’ adherence to break and lunch periods to maximize line run time.
- Complete weekly Safety STOP Audits
- Participate in Continuous Improvement Activities and Root Cause Corrective Action Programs.
Requirements- Previous experience in a production environment
- Basic computer knowledge
- Willingness and ability to work on a production line
- Ability to take direction and training
- Capable of standing during the entire shift.
- Capable of lifting and carrying 25 lbs
- Must be able to communicate in English; bi-lingual (Spanish) is preferred.
- Must possess math skills and be capable of using a calculator to perform calculations needed to complete daily reports.
- Demonstrate leadership skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to work OT as needed
