About the Role:
Kids First Day School at First Methodist Church of Trussville is looking for a passionate and nurturing 2K Teacher to join their dedicated early childhood team in Trussville, AL. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a lasting impact on young learners during their most formative years in a warm, faith-based environment.



Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for 2-year-old students
• Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages early childhood development
• Monitor and support the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth of each child
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and daily activities
• Maintain a clean, organized, and developmentally appropriate classroom
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to support school-wide goals and curriculum
• Follow all childcare regulations, safety protocols, and school policies

Requirements:

• Experience working with toddlers or in an early childhood education setting preferred
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for 2-year-olds
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children, parents, and staff
• Patient, compassionate, and enthusiastic approach to early childhood education
• Ability to maintain a structured yet flexible and nurturing classroom environment
• Must pass a background check in accordance with Alabama childcare requirements
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
