$19/hr Let's Work Ohio is looking for a Die Maker to run our Auto Bender equipment! Read blueprints & CAD files, build steel rule cutting dies, and put your precision skills to work.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Plate Mounting Technician to mount, proof, inspect, and prepare printing plates according to customer specifications and production requirements.
Responsibilities: **Include but not limited to**
Mount and proof printing plates accurately using customer specifications and work orders.
Read dimensioned drawings/blueprints to autobend, saw, or layout cutting dies
Plate Maker Proof the plates accurately and make one proof for company records, one for the customer, and others as required on the work order.
- Prepare, clean, package, and ship completed plates.
- Read and accurately interpret the work order and customer machine specifications.
- Use ink brayer to ink plates and pull a smooth covered proof.
- Cut mounting materials and install edge strips, grommets, or slots as required.
- Clean plates thoroughly using the plate bath and package plates properly to be shipped.
- Verify barcodes, maintain equipment, and perform quality checks.
- Record production time and materials in company software Cyframe
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all quality standards
Maintain the Opti-Chek equipment and calibrate it periodically.
- Prepare, trim, strip, splice, and organize negatives for production.
- Properly mark up required negatives and plates
- Verify barcodes and maintain accurate production logs and job records.
- Set up, pour, and process photopolymer plates to required specifications.
- Wear gloves and face shield when handling the developer/fixer powder.
- Pour or set up photopolymer plates at a variety of heights accurately.
Perform mechanical or hand pour of plates as necessary.
- Monitor proofs and plate quality, making exposure and thickness adjustments as needed.
- Properly expose screens and fine copy utilizing the extra back exposure technique.
Adjust exposure time for plates as needed.
Other Job Functions:
- Perform light maintenance of equipment as needed.
- Performs all job duties safely and in accordance with the company quality guidelines.
- Performs general housekeeping to keep area clean. Any other duties as assigned.

HS diploma or equivalent
Comfortable with hand/power/pneumatic tools
Able to lift up to 50 lbs
Train on 1st shift (30 60 days), then move to 2nd or 3rd
