Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate 2nd Grade Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters academic and personal growth for all students. This position requires planning and delivering lessons aligned with Minnesota state standards, assessing student progress, and collaborating with colleagues and families.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver standards-based lessons in core subjects.
- Create a safe and supportive classroom environment that encourages student learning.
- Assess and monitor student progress using a variety of tools and strategies.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress.
- Collaborate with grade-level team members and support staff.
- Participate in professional development and school-wide activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related field.
- Valid Minnesota teaching license for Elementary Education (K–6).
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to equity and inclusive teaching practices.
- Experience with culturally responsive teaching is a plus.
