Library Processing Associate
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Library Processing Associate to prepare books and audio-visual materials for public and private libraries. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on, repetitive work, takes pride in accuracy, and thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Hours:4:30p-1:00am
Pay:$19.50
Responsibilities
- Apply spine labels to books and compact discs.
- Sort labels, cards, and library materials.
- Apply Mylar/Kapco protective covers to book jackets.
- Perform stamping and theft identification processes.
- Audit completed materials to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Maintain production standards while following customer specifications.
- Keep work areas clean and organized.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months of previous work experience.
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible and willing to assist in different areas based on production needs.
- Dependable with reliable attendance.
- Commitment to following warehouse safety procedures.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the entire shift.
- Frequently lift and carry up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 35 pounds.
- Push and pull carts or materials weighing up to 45 pounds.
- Frequently bend, squat, kneel, twist, reach overhead, and perform repetitive hand movements.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
- Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, as needed.
