Chemical Operator
OpSource has partnered with a Chemical company located in Taylors, SC.
Pay for the position:
- $20/hr and advanced $21/hr at the 90 day mark went brought on perm. (And 100% company paid health insurance)
Shift for the position:
- Training would be on First Shift 7:00am – 4:00pm. Once trained they would go to offshift (typically 3+ months)
- 2nd Shift Hours are 3:30pm – 12:00am
- 3rd shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Paid break)
- OT/Weekend work as needed (not typically often)
Job requirements for the position may include:
- Reading SDS’s to be familiar with material hazards
- Following safety guidelines, work instructions, good manufacturing practices, proper hygiene
- Notifying Supervisor of potential equipment problems
- Verifying that materials are available and correct prior to starting production batch
- Labeling Finished Good and Raw Materials correctly
- Notifying Supervisor if product, process or equipment is running out of the ordinary
- Reading and following SOP’s as they pertain to manufacturing
- Operating equipment to achieve desired results
- Completing required paperwork (i.e. batch sheets) per applicable SOP
- Working with Quality Control to achieve desired results on batches produced
- Waste Minimization
- Safety and housekeeping in all area of production and bulk tank areas
- Loading and unloading tankers
- Maintaining proper identification on storage tanks
- Ensuring product is put into and taken out of proper storage tanks, totes or drums
Qualifications for the position:
- Experience in chemical manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with monomer feed
- Able read and understand batch instructions for mixing chemicals
- Able to stage raw materials by name, code and lot number accurately
- Must be able to lift 60
