Pro Resources is hiring for a leading distributor of books and printed content. This warehouse role offers steady, hands-on work as part of a team that keeps incoming product moving accurately and safely through the facility.
Pay: $19.50
Hours: Sun.-Thurs. 4:30pm-1am with OT
The Receiver Will
Unload cartons and receive incoming book product
Check shipment quantities against the bill of lading, inspect the condition of cartons and skids, and sign shipments as received or complete discrepancy, overage, shortage, and damage paperwork as needed
Work shipments by receipt: separate cartons by title, place cartons on the conveyor, count and inspect books, and complete breakdown tickets
Unload cartons from the conveyor line and sort them onto pallets by warehouse zone
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Knowledge
At least 6 months of consecutive work experience
At least 6 months of physically active work experience (walking, standing, lifting/carrying, pushing/pulling, bending, squatting/kneeling, climbing, reaching above shoulders, and typing/keyboard use)
High school level reading comprehension and writing skills
Basic math skills, including addition and subtraction
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work safely and follow safety guidelines in a warehouse environment
Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks and meet production standards
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Flexibility to multitask based on workflow demands
Reliable attendance
Skills/Knowledge Preferred
Prior warehouse receiving, shipping, or distribution experience
Familiarity with bills of lading and receiving paperwork
Experience working with conveyor systems and pallet jacks
Experience with inventory counts or quality inspection of product
Physical Requirements
Walk and stand continuously throughout the shift
Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently during the shift
Push/pull up to 35 lbs. of force frequently and 36–65 lbs. occasionally
Grip and grasp continuously during the shift
Exposure to a wide range of temperatures
Essential Functions
Able to walk and stand continuously; grip and grasp; bend, squat, kneel, twist, turn, climb, crawl, reach above shoulder level, and type/keyboard frequently; lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 65 lbs. of force during the assigned shift. Must be able to work the designated shift, including overtime as required, which may include time before or after the shift and/or weekends.
