We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Roll Threader to set up and operate thread rolling machines in a precision manufacturing environment, producing high-quality fasteners for aerospace and high-spec industries.
- Set up and operate two-die cylindrical thread rolling machines to produce threaded fasteners to specifications
- Interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and process sheets, ensuring tight tolerances
- Select, install, and align thread rolling dies; perform die changes and minor repairs
- Conduct inspections using thread gages, micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators
- Adjust machine settings to maintain quality standards and correct thread defects
- Collaborate on new part setups and process improvements
- Complete all production and quality documentation accurately
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
Requirements include 3+ years of experience in thread rolling or similar, familiarity with aerospace fasteners, reading blueprints (GD&T, thread specs), and inspection tools. Strong mechanical skills and troubleshooting ability are necessary. Steel-toe shoes required, along with passing a drug screen. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, in Houston, TX. Pay starts at $26/hour DOE.
