Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Bagger Machine Operator to join our 2nd shift production team.
The Bagger Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, sanitizing, and performing necessary maintenance on bagging machines and other production equipment.
The ideal candidate will have previous machine operation experience and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced food production environment.
This position focuses on meeting production goals while minimizing waste and rework and maintaining high standards for food and workplace safety.
Candidates who successfully complete the required contract hours and meet performance expectations may have the opportunity to transition to direct hire.
Responsibilities:
Operate automated film wrappers, baggers, molders, and other production machinery according to product specifications.
Set up and monitor machinery to maximize production and minimize waste and rework.
Perform quality checks, food safety checks, and complete all required production paperwork accurately.
Troubleshoot equipment as necessary and perform routine cleaning and general maintenance of the workspace.
Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety procedures, and workplace safety guidelines.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Previous machine operation experience preferred.
Working knowledge of safety practices, including LOTO, PPE, and machine guarding.
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Basic computer and math skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Ability to work in variable indoor temperatures, including cold environments around 32°F.
Reliable attendance and a dependable work ethic.
