CNC Lathe Machinist 2nd Shift
Location: Broken Arrow, OK
Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: 2nd Shift | Monday-Thursday

CNC Lathe Machinist Must-Have Requirements
- 3-5+ years of CNC lathe machining experience in a precision machine shop
- Strong understanding of CNC lathe setup and operation
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T
- Experience with tight tolerances and precision-machined components
- Ability to use calipers, micrometers, indicators, and other precision measuring equipment
- Strong knowledge of cutting tools, tooling selection, speeds, feeds, and offsets
- Ability to make machine offsets and adjustments to maintain part quality
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate parts
- Reliable attendance and ability to work independently
CNC Lathe Machinist Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to join a precision manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes to produce complex, close-tolerance components. The ideal candidate will have several years of hands-on experience in a precision machine shop and be comfortable working with tight tolerances, detailed blueprints, and precision inspection equipment.
CNC Lathe Machinist Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC lathes to produce precision components
- Select and install appropriate cutting tools, holders, inserts, and workholding
- Load programs and make necessary tool offsets and machine adjustments
- Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, setup sheets, and GD&T
- Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment
- Monitor tooling and make adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish
- Identify machining issues and troubleshoot problems affecting quality or production
- Perform first-piece and in-process inspections
- Maintain accurate production and inspection documentation
- Follow established quality and safety procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Work closely with other machinists, quality personnel, and production staff to meet production requirements
CNC Lathe Machinist Additional Qualifications
- Experience machining complex or close-tolerance parts preferred
- Experience with multiple CNC controls is a plus
- Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, tooling, and material characteristics
- Experience with steel, stainless steel, aluminum, or other industrial materials
- Basic shop math and strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to troubleshoot machining and tooling issues independently
- Experience working in a job shop or low-volume, high-mix precision manufacturing environment is highly preferred
