    Description

    Description

Join a precision manufacturer building the future of American manufacturing. You'll machine complex, tight-tolerance components for the aerospace, defense, semiconductor, and medical industries while working in a shop that invests in technology, high-quality equipment, and skilled machinists.

We're looking for setup machinists who can confidently own the entire setup process - from reading blueprints and G-code to loading tooling, setting offsets, proving out first articles, and making machine-side program adjustments before releasing jobs into production.

    Compensation

    • $30-$38/hour (based on experience)

    Schedule

    • 2nd Shift
    • Monday-Friday
    • Overtime available

    Requirements
    • Perform complete setups on CNC lathe machines.
    • Read, interpret, troubleshoot, and edit G-code directly at the machine.
    • Load tooling, set work and tool offsets.
    • Prove out first articles and make program, tooling, and offset adjustments as needed.
    • Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, setup sheets, and work instructions.
    • Inspect first-piece parts using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, indicators, and other precision measuring equipment.
    • Troubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, workholding, cutter compensation, feeds and speeds, and program execution.
    • Produce tight-tolerance components while maintaining the highest quality standards.

    Benefits
    • 5+ years of complex CNC lathe setup experience.
    • Fluent in G-code with the ability to confidently read, troubleshoot, and edit programs at the machine.
    • Experience loading tooling, setting work and tool offsets, and proving out new jobs.
    • Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills.
    • Experience performing first article inspections and making setup modifications.
    • Proficient with micrometers, calipers, indicators, bore gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
    • Experience machining aerospace, defense, medical, semiconductor, or other tight-tolerance components is highly preferred.
