Job Details:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled CNC Mill Setup Machinist for our 2nd shift. This is a permanent position with an opportunity to be a part of our dynamic and innovative engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC milling machines, ensuring the production of high-quality components for various industries. This role requires a strong understanding of machining principles, keen attention to detail, and a commitment to meeting company objectives for safety, productivity, and quality.

Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision parts.
  • Interpret complex blueprints, drawings, and engineering information to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate products.
  • Use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to verify conformance of finished workpiece to specifications.
  • Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers.
  • Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut.
  • Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper machine performance.
  • Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Assist with programming machines using Mastercam and G Code.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery.
  • Use CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) for inspection of parts.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional certification in CNC machining or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist, specifically with setup and operation of CNC milling machines.
  • Proficient in using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Experience with tool and die setup and operation.
  • Experience with CMM machines for part inspection.
  • Knowledge of tooling and lathe operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to work the 2nd shift and overtime as required.
