Job Summary:

 

Central Plains Steel, a division of Feralloy, is hiring Machine Operators to run coil line equipment, process materials, and support safe, efficient production operations.

 

 

Physical Requirements: Stand or Sit(Stationary position), Walk(Move, Traverse), Use hand/fingers to handle or feel (Operate, Activate, Use, Prepare, Inspect, Place, Detect, Position), Climb (stairs/ladders) or balance (Ascend/Descend, Work atop, Traverse), Stoop, kneel, crouch, or Crawl(Position self(to), Move), Talk/hear(Communicate, Detect, Converse with, Discern, Convey, Express oneself, Exchange information), See (Detect, Determine, Perceive, Identify, Recognize, Judge, Observe, Inspect, Estimate, Assess), Pushing or Pulling Function in the Job: Medium/Heavy work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Job Function:
  • Operate and monitor coil line (decoil) machinery
  • Follow work orders and ensure correct materials are used
  • Adjust machine settings and inspect product quality
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and report issues
  • Move materials using forklifts or cranes
  • Maintain accurate documentation and a clean, safe workspace

 

Required Skills:
  • Valid driver’s license
  • 0–5 years of manufacturing or machine operating experience
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work in varying conditions
  • Strong attention to detail and teamwork

Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
 $17–$20/hr (DOE) + $5 shift differential

 

 

Preferred:

  • Coil line or manufacturing experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
