What You’ll Do as a 2nd Shift Diesel Mechanic


In this role, you’ll perform essential fleet maintenance and diesel truck repair to keep our drivers safe and our operations running smoothly. Responsibilities include:


+ Performing inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on diesel vehicles

+ Troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems

+ Using onboard vehicle diagnostic systems to interpret failure codes and adjust engine/vehicle control modules

+ Responding to road calls and conducting emergency repairs

+ Reviewing and completing repairs from Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs)

+ Documenting work using fleet maintenance software

+ Test-driving vehicles after repairs

+ Supporting teammates with complex repairs

+ Interacting professionally with drivers

+ Maintaining a clean and safe shop environment compliant with OSHA standards

+ Performing additional maintenance duties as needed


What We’re Looking For


To excel in this 2nd shift diesel mechanic role, you should bring:


Hands-on experience with diesel truck diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs


Hydraulic system experience (preferred but not required)


Ability to work in all weather conditions.


Ability to lift at least 50lbs repeatedly.
