Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
One (1) year of inventory, warehousing, administrative support, logistics, or related experience preferred.
Ability to obtain required facility credentials.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in detention, corrections, law enforcement, or secure facilities.
- Receive and inventory detainee property during intake processing.
- Prepare and maintain property receipts and inventory documentation.
- Secure detainee property within designated storage locations.
- Issue facility uniforms and process personal property for storage.
- Retrieve and prepare property for detainee release and transfer.
- Maintain accurate paper and electronic records.
- Perform inventory verifications and reconciliations.
- Obtain required signatures and acknowledgments.
- Report discrepancies, damage, or missing property.
- Support inspections, audits, and inventory reviews.
- Follow all property accountability procedures.
- Maintain chain-of-custody documentation.
- Protect detainee records and sensitive information.
- Ensure all records remain accurate and audit-ready.

The DO-Property Shift Specialist is responsible for processing, documenting, safeguarding, storing, issuing, transferring, and releasing detainee property within a secure detention facility environment. This position supports all aspects of Property Operations and ensures detainee property is properly controlled throughout intake, detention, transfer, and release activities.
The DO-Property Shift Specialist reports directly to the Property Shift Supervisor.
