We are seeking skilled and experienced extrusion professionals for a 2nd Shift Extrusion Technician position located in Valley View, OH. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in plastics processing and a passion for technical manufacturing.

Hours
2:00 PM 10:30 PM, Monday Friday
Pay
$23.00 $26.00 per hour, based on experience
Key Responsibilities
Support film extrusion operations with equipment setup, operation, tooling, and changeovers
Perform metrology testing and film characterization
Monitor and adjust computerized systems for recipes, film thickness, and quality
Recognize and document defects, escalating issues to maintain quality and process integrity
Provide solutions to equipment and process problems
Maintain organized workspaces for safety and efficiency
Handle raw materials, finished goods, and work-in-progress materials
Follow safety and work instructions rigorously
Adapt to evolving team needs and responsibilities
Develop mechanical understanding of extrusion processes to support career growth
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or GED, or 4+ years manufacturing experience
1+ years plastics processing experience, including extrusion, cast or blown film, calendaring, or injection molding
Must be very detail-oriented
Computer literate with experience in Microsoft Excel and Word
Ability to perform basic math, measurements, and metrology
Electrical and/or mechanical aptitude preferred
Experience with material handling equipment such as tow motors or pallet jacks
Previous experience working off-shift
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
Eagerness to learn new skills and adapt to change
Nice to Have Skills
Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Familiarity with computerized process controls
Experience in a lab or R&D environment
Preferred Education and Experience
High School diploma or GED
1+ years plastics processing experience, especially in extrusion or related fields
Other Requirements
Ability to work on-site at the Valley View location
Must be a professional, well-spoken, and presentable
Able to understand and adjust computerized operator settings
Capable of performing setups, tooling, maintenance, and calibrations in the future
