2ND SHIFT EZ GRIND

Operate computer numerical control (CNC) EZ GRIND machines,  and maintain awareness of close tolerance parts, including pointed parts using various types of measuring equipment including vision systems.  Following standard operating procedures and instructions. Operate secondary equipment and perform any other functions within the department that may be necessary.

Role and Responsibilities 

Operate machines, achieving specifications including quality and throughput.
Implement continuous improvement activities. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Perform ERP system transactions.
Perform required daily maintenance to equipment and tools.
Work from procedures and prescribed operation sequences to achieve parts per print and quality specifications.
Monitor, observe and listen to machine operation to detect malfunctions. 
Ensure work piece is being properly lubricated and cooled; coolant lines properly located.
Monitor process and specifications. 
Notify supervisor and/or department Lead Person of discrepancies.
Perform own part inspection during grinding process to measure work piece to check to match specs, using measuring instruments such as microscope, optical comparator, micrometer, caliper, dial indicators and gauges.
