If you have the following requirements and would like to join the East End Welding team, please submit your resume. Thank you for your interest !! Fitter: Should be able to do the following: - Read a tape measure
- Add and subtract fractions
- Convert fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions
- Read blueprints
- Interpret dimensional tolerancing
- Recognize machine stock requirements
- Evaluate parts for accuracy
- Recognize weld prep requirements
- Should have some welding experience
- Experience with reading a metric tape measure is a plus, but not required
- Must know how to use basic fitting tools (squares, levels, compass, etc......)
- Use a hand torch
- Do layouts in soapstone / chalk
