Job Overview



We are seeking a skilled and experienced Full-time 2nd Shift Lathe Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Lathe operations, CNC machining, and machine set-ups. This position plays a crucial role in our production process, ensuring the timely and accurate creation of high-quality parts and components.



Key Responsibilities



  • Operate manual and CNC lathes to produce precision parts according to specifications
  • Set up, adjust, and maintain lathe machines for optimal performance
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders
  • Program CNC lathes using G-code and M-code
  • Perform quality checks and measurements throughout the production process
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues as they arise
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to improve processes and efficiency
  • Complete required documentation and reports


Qualifications



Required:



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Lathe Machinist
  • Proficiency in operating manual and CNC lathes
  • Strong knowledge of G-code and M-code programming
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Experience with precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges)
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to work 2nd shift hours (typically 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM)


Preferred:



  • Associate's degree in Machining, Manufacturing Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience as a Lathe Machinist
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software
  • Experience with multi-axis CNC machines
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
